The wood burning stove greets you as you enter the kitchen and dining area. This vacation home features stone fireplaces worked by local craftsmen, hand made wormy chestnut paneling in the livingroom, and two spiral staircases, each leading to a bedroom above.
The spacious livingroom, with comfortable seating for four or more, features a beautiful stone fireplace, television with satellite, and a view of Linville Mountain out the picture window. The main bathroom, just off this room, has an old fashioned claw foot tub for relaxing after a long hike. A spiral staircase leads to the second bedroom.
The Master bedroom is reached via the spiral staircase in the kitchen, and features a cozy queen-sized bed with new linens, plenty of extra blankets, a private bath with shower, and the best view of Linville Mountain from its own large private deck beyond double sliding glass doors. The furnishings really bring the feel of mountain living to life.
The second bedroom is reached via the spiral staircase in the livingroom, or a private entrance from its own deck. It features a cozy queen-sized bed with new linens, plenty of extra blankets, a private half bath.
The downstairs bath, right off the livingroom, features an antique clawfoot tub for soaking after those long hikes. The master bath, upstairs off the master bedroom, is private, and has knotty pine paneling throughout, shower, and all the fluffy towels you could want. The second bedroom has its own private bath as well.
Take a leisurely stroll down the drive just a short way to visit the pond, stocked with huge Koi.
Sit on the spacious front deck and take in the view of Linville mountain and surrounding areas while you enjoy a home cooked meal or games at the picnic table.
Modern kitchen has a full sized refrigerator-freezer, glass top stove, microwave, coffee maker, and blender. Paper products are provided. The dining area, just off the kitchen, has all the dishes, flatware, and glassware needed for a family of four, or two couples. The knotty pine paneling provides warmth and the feel of the mountains.
